Jiayuan Dumpling House began with humble roots in 2013 in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada. Emily and Linda- a mother/daughter team- had a vision for a family-style restaurant featuring authentic Northeastern Chinese Cuisine specializing in handmade dumplings. Every day they would get up before dawn and prepare hundreds of dumplings so that they could be served fresh to their patrons. Their dedication and hard work paid off and in less than six months Jiayuan Dumpling House was rated to be one of the best restaurants in the city of Lethbridge with a population of more than 120,000 residents. In 2016, when Linda went to complete her graduate studies at the University of Toronto, Emily felt the task of running a restaurant to a high standard on her own might be too much by herself and decided to close.
